Hungary's new energy strategy was accepted at the end of October, which contains proposals up to 2030 for both the Hungarian energy sector and the government, as it has proposed a plan up to 2050, which relocates the 2030-arrangements in a global, long-term perspective. In 2012, the Ministry of National Development will likely adopt the new renewable energy feed-in tariff and initiates the rearrangement of the European Union's sources. This could potentially lead to the decrease of energy consumption by the state-owned as well as municipality-owned buildings. In the field of heat supply, there is a chance for significant use of renewable energy. There is also an ample opportunity to radically raise the role of renewable energy in the next two decades. The new energy strategy brings forward the occasion for slow gradual mitigation of energy dependence, and the main elements of the realisation are energy thriftiness and decentralised, home produced renewable energy.
The RENEXPO® as Hungary's energy trade fair focuses on all of the products and services of the energy sector which are necessary for the making of energy efficiency and energy independence. The event will be organised for the sixth time in May, 2012.
The RENEXPO® Central Europe was organised for the fifth time in 2011, where 135 exhibitors from 11 countries presented their products and services for the 3490 visitors, which depicts a 30% and 14% growth compared to 2010. Parallel to the exhibition, professional conferences were organized in cooperation with professional associations in the field of biogas, energy efficiency, geothermal energy and solar energy, which were attended by 680 visitors from numerous European countries.
The 5th RENEXPO® Central Europe was listed as an official Hungarian Presidency event, and one of its focal points was the 2nd annual conference of Renewable Heating and Cooling Technology Platform. During this conference, the European Professional Associations (AEBIOM, EGEC, ESTIF, EUREC) identified goals regarding renewable energies in 2050.
The event focuses for the sustainable and decentralized energy production, energy management, distribution & supply and intelligent and energy efficient energy application. It deals most of all with biogas, biomass, geothermal energy, solar and mobility. Within these themes, professional Hungarian and international conferences are also planned, where the enquirers can meet with the exhibitors in the Bioenergy World on the Geothermal Island and on the Solar Park.
RENEXPO® also offers widespread programmes in 2012: the Hungarian and international students would have the chance to meet at the UniStreet for the fourth time, which is a unique platform to present their innovations, developments and searches. The E-Mobility Day will be organised for the third time, where the representatives could present their vehicles and materials in the frame of a great show. More international associations and companies are expected at the IBEF® (International Business Exchange Forum) stand.
The organiser REECO Hungary Kft. annually cooperates with professional associations, supporters and media partners to secure professional background and communication. In 2012, RENEXPO® enjoys the support of more professional and media partners among others: Hungarian Renewable Energy Association, Hungarian Electronic Association, Austria Biomass Association and more European professional associations.
The RENEXPO® Central Europe will be organised between the 10th-12th of May, 2012 in Budapest. You can read more about the exhibition, visitor programmes and professional conferences at our homepage: www.renexpo.hu
